Retail patch for Wizardry 8. Retail releases that state version 1.2.4 on the CDs do not need this patch.
Mad God's Tiny Hut, Home of the Cosmic Forge editor - Cosmic Forge will let you totally mod Wizardry 6, 7 dos and gold, and 8 to your heart's content. Definitely at least use the Wizardry 7 patch to fix the Warrior Slayer bug.

- I have 6,7, and 8, but I want to play 8 the most. 6 is okay, and 7 is good, but should I play them first, or just play this one? If story is important to you, then I would say yes, play 6 and 7 first. The three games basically form a trilogy where the 'story' follows through all the games.
- Some have played Wizardry 8 with only one character. This is too stressful for me. My benchmark is the fight against the five crabs outside the monastery in front of the pavillon. If I do not need healing in this fight, I assume my party is well prepared for Wiz8. And I have now a 4 PC party that has no problems with this fight.

- up a female and the RPC can't be picked either. (Workaround -- dismiss the male RPC, then choose party member)
- -- Shoplifting successfully with item in hand while inventory is full will crash
